I worked at Peninsula for 10 years so know the company very well. Started well with a great team. As the business has grown it's really gone down hill. Staff are treated appallingly. Management bully staff to write reviews on here . Just the sheer volume of reviews is evidence of this underhanded tactic. Staff work in a call centre environment. Managers pace up and down watching over very closely. Electric boards display how many calls are being processed and how many are on hold. Targets are focused on call volume. This results in Advice being a very quick so call numbers are kept up. This means clients are not given a full overview of the procedures they need to follow. They get snippets so they have to phone back at every possible stage in the process. (That kerps call volumes up and thats what management want) I have witnessed first hand the bullying techniques used by management. I have never worked for a company that shells out "compromise agreements" left right and centre to get rid of anyone who's face doesn't fit. A quick Google will bring up several tribunal cases involving Peninsula employees against Peninsula. If you want to feel valued do not work here.
