Great mission, great people - Recensione dipendente - Community and Partnerships Manager presso Permanent Legacy Foundation

There's a lot of nice things about working for Permanent. The schedule was flexible while I was there, I believe it's even more so these days. I felt like I had autonomy to do my work, but there were a couple other developers I could talk to if I got stuck. Probably the best thing was that I felt like leadership (Robert particularly) really valued my opinions when it came to DEI stuff. As a person belonging to multiple marginalized groups (lgbtq+, women, latinx), a lot of places I feel like I have to pick my battles . At Permanent, I didn't feel that way. I felt safe and respected saying what was on my mind and like it actually impacted the environment and our product.

No shade to the Permanent's mission, but working on what seems like a billionaires pet project is a little weird.

Permanent.org has a great mission and a great trajectory. I worked with the organization from the early days of its formation and have tracked with it for the last few years as well. Mission wise - they are doing something the world needs. I've been impressed by the changes that new leadership has brought to the organization. It's moved from a set of ideals that were good but not clear, to a pragmatic, positive place. Based on what I've seen and experienced, I'd recommend working with / for Permanent.

In the early days, Permanent needed to get it's footing, to get a better sense of how to accomplish the mission. That's changed for the better
