-Philips is genuine about its mission. Coming from a very small, very non-corporate job before this, I figured it was all lip service. Not at all! Improving people's lives is truly at the center of everything everyone does at Philips -- people take it very seriously! -Speaking of the people at Philips, everyone is SO welcoming. I can hardly fit all the coffee chats in my schedule, because anyone who hears I'm new is eager to buy me coffee and welcome me to the company -Fantastic benefits. I feel so taken care of at Philips, from health insurance to commuting benefits to all the little perks along the way -Very flexible work schedule (at least on my team). Everyone is dedicated to getting their work done and trusted to do so in whatever way makes most sense for them and their life. Family and personal life always comes first and management really emphasizes the importance of taking time off (and they mean it!)

Things move slowly at a large corporation, but not as slowly as I expect. Plus, it gives a more relaxed culture

The people in non- upper management roles that work there are fantastic. Great sense of community onsite and the culture champions are consistently looking for ways to make work life better.

Very poor communication on the strategy for the business unit. Leadership publicly promotes innovation and new ideas to be presented but then those ideas are shot down or penalized in private by current upper management. The business unit leadership says that don't want excuses for project delays but will then decide to do 3 major layoffs in the first two quarters with no transition plan, no support for gap in resources and no expectations to delayed progress.
