Poor management of field workers. Buddy of a buddy who happen to get lucky in a position and has no idea how to manage or install what he directs. Forces a you to quit because of immaturity of dealing with issues then fires you eliminating unemployment chances. In short DO NOT GIVE NOTICE when quitting they have a habit of firing on the spot. Discrimination on promoting from within as this is a friends and family operation. If your qualified for promotion you must be popular and friend or family. If your dedicated and work in the field and older, they feel hiring younger kids for indoor work is their priority. My story background, Yelled, scolded publicly and after removing myself from the intimal situation, followed to second shop and called still berating. As a human I reached my point and gave a courtesy two week notice. The unskilled manager decided to drive as fast as he could to the second shop to tell me to turn in the key and I was fired. UNEMPLOYMENT WILL NOT PAY FOR GIVING NOTICE AND PHILLIPS TAKES NO CURTIOSUY NOTICE, firing after the fact is irrelevant. I cant say my time working there was much fun since any road crew is treated less than shop crew. More disrespected feeling, with the attitude its easier to find a installer and prefer you work until dark regardless if you have a family. This is due to poor management and yes I know about management since 20+ years is successful on my resume.
