Vantaggi

Some of the clients really do want to overcome addiction, but most are there just because they got caught and are mandated by the criminal justice system

Svantaggi

The management is dysfunctional. Most are dry-drunks/addicts who carry the same dysfunctional behaviors into the workplace. Senior management has no clue what goes on in the programs. Clients are having sex with clients, Staff are having sex with staff AND clients, people stealing company property and do the minimum to "keep under the radar"...

Vantaggi

They are driven by the vision

Svantaggi

Phoenix House mission is lacking of respect to the mental health. From the front line staff to the executive leadership are lacking of their core values "Integrity, Compassion, Appreciation, Respect, Excellence, Forward Thinking" The HR department is unreachable, there is no number to call and they keep saying ask here. When you ask a question regarding a leave related to pregnancy, they write back with "please read the employee handbook" instead of just telling the employee the answer. The program directors yell at staff in front of patients and the RSS/Counselors have their own judgment towards the patient. Calling them addicts or onlt want to be there for housing. There are a few great counselors but some counselors also need some customer service. The townhalls and surveys are a sham, they always say they are there to change the culture but it never changes. Staff are stealing food from the cafeteria, stole over time, instead of the leaders being transparent and truthful it never happens. Leaders and staff have high turn overs, nursing and clinical team have a division, no one wants to help each other. The CEO over rules the leadership. There is no communication in this organization and we never see the leaders but they expect us to be at work while the leaders work from home or don't answer their phones. Director of residential services doesn't know what goes on in the program. Overall disorganized, unethical, worst culture I have ever been from an organization that is advocating for treatment of addiction and mental health.
