Vantaggi

Opportunity to be closer to senior-level management and to wear alot of hats relative to other analysts' at comparable banks. Learning curve is steep at first, but senior analysts do a good job of "teaching" in your first few months. Culture is probably as good as it gets for banking, especially among the analyst class.

Svantaggi

PJC is terrible at figuring out their staffing requirements. Lots of micro-managing goes on here. Firm does not "splurge" on resources for their analysts. Huge range of overall talent: bankers that are great are really great, the same goes for the ones who are not so great; not much middle ground.

Vantaggi

It's nearly impossible to get fired. After many years, the IT department has hired a diverse team. Coworkers were intelligent and ethical.

Svantaggi

Unusual that, until after Covid, the IT department was about 95% Caucasian, but now the diversity seems to be due to the ability to lower salaries, and worsen work/life balance. Management will only promote yes-people, or hire from the outside. It's akin to working in IT in 1990s, there is little process or structure. Laptops weren't given to IT until after Covid (yes you read that right), and when they were handed out, they were the used laptops from revenue generating departments that had been upgraded. It was a very chaotic environment.
