Work life balance. Open communication and no bureaucracy. People are working hard as they are truly passionate about the work they do. Colleagues are highly educated, experienced, smart and friendly. They will freely share their knowledge, know-how and will help you to improve your work. Everyone helps each other and truly cares about the company's success. You define your growth and progression. Management definitely sees your contribution and will let you know they do. If you dont hear anything from them, then probably you are not contributing enough.

3D industry is pretty tight at the moment with a lot of players in the market. The company needs to revamp R&D to make it more cohesive and effective. Hopefully this will enable a much better product development. Better market and consumer research to get ahead of competition.

In Pirate3D, everyone is equal. Even as an intern, I got to work with all the senior employees in many different departments. I can talk to CEO like talking to a friend. I can freely express my ideas to anyone at any time. Everyone works in Pirate3D is extremely self-driven. We often work until late or even work weekends simply because we are passionate about the stuff we do.

As a young startup, the management of the company is a bit messy. The tasks are not well allocated. And there is an invisible wall between hardware and software engineers simply because they don't work in the same location.
