Vantaggi

A highly committed team of smart people working hard on cool technology successfully applied to a business problem. We're not afraid to dig into a new problem or apply new technology, always in the context of a real problem for the market place. First place I've ever worked where everyone else works as hard as I do. First place I've ever worked where there really is always more to be done.

Svantaggi

Startup life isn't for everyone. We're serious about working hard to achieve our goals. Being the best at whatever we do is hard work. There's not a lot of framework around onboarding new folks. That can be fun, but you've also got to ask for help on your own.

Vantaggi

Our Executive team is composed of some of the hardest working individuals I've ever met and Placed is a reflection of the passion they put into the business. There is no sugarcoating that working at Placed means working hard but it also means working with some of the smartest, driven individuals in the area and working for a growing start-up with a very long future ahead of it. There are little-to-no politics or egos and a lot of respect for each other. Other pros: free lunch, unlimited snacks/food, a benefits packages that continues to get stronger each year, a 401(k) with match (and no vest), flexibility if you need to work from home - and to-the-point, informative meetings which means I can actually do my job.

Svantaggi

Don't sweat the small stuff: we have a large, hard-working Executive team that can be too involved with smaller day-to-day things and details. Define and communicate: as more senior leadership has come on board, it is not always clear who the decision maker or final authority is - or how it's changed as the org continues to grow. Process isn't a bad thing: there is some resistance to implementing process or defining ownership where it's needed which has resulted in some friction between teams (or between older employees versus newer ones).
