The scenery is beautiful, photos don’t do it justice! You will meet people from all over the world and make some of the most amazing bonds and long lasting friendships. You’re supported by other counsellors, your Specialty Head, Area Head and Directors. There’ll always be someone you can talk to when you need help. The bunks are of a good standard, they’re clean and spacious and you have drawers, cubbies and rails for your clothes/personal belongings. Living in bunk with the campers can also be a great experience. They want to get to know you and you’ll likely find they’ll teach you a thing or two about yourself! The food is amazing. There is a good variety and camp take pride in being able to cater for all dietary restrictions. Freshly baked cookies and milk after evening activity doesn’t get old! There is a bus out of camp in the evenings as well as transport into Lake George on your day off.

The hours are long but this is something you are told about at interview and during orientation before the campers arrive. The job can be exhausting, but you really do get out of it what you put in.
