GM was a nightmare. I would have terrible anxiety on my way to work knowing I would be working with the GM. We were never allowed to speak to one another on the line. During my first week I had just clocked in and there was not a single customer in the store. The grillman began asking me questions such as if I liked the area I just moved to and if I liked the job. Next thing I know the GM who is working drive through takes off her headset and yells "Does somebody else want to come do my job?!" We were not busy. She expects us to work as a team but we cant talk to each other at all. We are told to stay on the line, prepare the food, and stay quiet. On multiple occasions, we would get very busy and the other person on the line would leave to take orders leaving me to do the line myself. When I would go to grab fries or yuca or plantains I would get yelled at because it wasn't "my station" but there was no one else to get it for me... All of my coworkers were miserable and after a month I left. The actual work was easy. Serving food was a breeze. But the environment that the managers created for the employees was so gloomy and sad. I've worked in the food service industry before this and I've worked with managers with different personalities but this was hell on earth. A large percentage of our customer base is Hispanic and when the GM could not understand the customer from the drive through she told the customer to come to the first window. The GM still could not understand the woman and with frustration she turned to the rest of us and screamed: "Someone translate for this woman because I can not understand a single thing she is saying!" the dining room was full of customers and I was in shock. This could have been handled in a more proper way.
