If you want to succeed at Portland just be prepared to be a work 60hrs week +. It’s the only way for advancement. Toxic work environment: I won’t go into specifics but managers can be quite mean and unhealthy towards juniors. Bonus: we have still yet to be paid our promised annual bonus from July… further, if you quit, you are no long entitled to it. Role: no one will teach you anything you just have to “figure it out”… Everyone at portland is miserable because of reasons listed above (among many others). Therefore, the culture can be quite unsettling. I have regular panic attacks just thinking of it all.
