*Very poor training for managers.* It was more a case of are you willing to do this job, rather than are you also ABLE to do this job.* Pay is never in proportion to what you actually do, or achieve. *Very poor in-store knowledge of Health and Food Safety procedures and regulations (and this is store management team). * Poor people skills across operations. *Too many short-lived company initiatives which do not match your customer base. *STOCK, STOCK and more STOCK - If your warehouse and shop floor is full, they still send in more stock, they secretly believe that making the warehouse and shop floor overstocked and ignoring health and safety is the answer to achieving sales. (You can't fit 3 litres of water into a 1 litre jug, at the same time)! * They claim they were not aware of overstocks and/or understocks, but will send you detail reports if it is a product the company is focussed on (KPI). *Long hours with no support, forget about planning your week as there will always be changes from delivery schedules, department moves,etc. and all communicated at last minute. * The store you actually apply for may not be the store or area you actually work in, and I could go on and on and on. This is not a personal statement but what a majority of managers thought, but afraid to speak up, as they had not got full citizenship yet and do not want to risk losing their job.
