      Preferred Legal Support is a "sister" company to Initiative Legal Group. Google Initiative Legal Group for some great information about their unethical ways. Preferred Legal Support has only 1 customer, Initiative Legal Group. If you understand how California law deals with settlements in class action lawsuits, you will understand why Initiative Legal Group contracts out a chunk of their work to a 3rd party (PLS), they even shared the same office. I am positive that some of the glowing reviews here about PLS are fake, especially if they are painting Jennifer Tell in a glowing light. I'm sure she is a nice person outside of the office but she is a nightmare to work for.

      -Casual dress code -Some employees work remotely, others in the office, depending on position -Flexible vacation / time off -Decent health insurance benefits - Opportunity for advancement - All in all, hard work and dedication to the mission is rewarded. People who want to skate by and phone it in get discovered pretty fast. That means sticking with some very busy, hectic times and coming out on the other side with a sense of completion. Frankly, I do not understand some of the earlier reviews on here making it sound like this is a firm. Preferred Legal Support is not a law firm and never was. It provides highly customized, high-level support to multiple law firms.

      I wish there were some more team-building / off work events to increase camaraderie. No 401k PLS can be fast-paced and demanding at times. If you are the roll-up your sleeves and get things done type, you should succeed. If you cannot handle rapid change and rush projects (some people simply do not - it is not a character flaw), it may not work out for you. There may have been issues in the past with some of the law firm assignments based on these reviews, but I don't see those kinds of issues now.
