Opportunities to travel, but not mandatory. I've been to Quebec 6 times, Hawaii twice and Madrid, Spain once for a training competition. You get to work on million dollar motorhomes (check out websites for Marathon, Liberty, Outlaw). Advancement can be quick it you're motivated - my branch manager worked his way up from level 2 technician. This company seems to really care about it's employees and there is always someone to help you with just a phone call, if not in person. Pay is decent and benefits are better than average. Non-union shop. Monthly tool reimbursement, productivity bonuses and new Red Wing boots every year. PPE provided - glasses, gloves, bump caps, hearing protection, heat sleeves, uniforms, masks, etc. Safety, positive customer experience and tech training are company priorities.

Svantaggi

Hours can be long and if you're the on-call tech you may end up working through the weekend. Work-life balance is difficult even when you're not on call. The company provides most of the expensive, specialty tools, but you'll need a full set of heavy equipment mechanics tools, standard and metric. Uniforms are black - not ideal in Southern shops.
