Vantaggi
Primcorp is a great company to work for and they do a great job of taking care of their employees. The CEO and COO do a lot of the little things to take care of employees, make it a point to get out and visit with employees across locations in the US. The CEO of the company is retired military and understands what it takes to find the right kind of folks for the job. Benefits are pretty good in that you are given 10 days of vacation time per year with the amount jumping up to 15 days after 3 years and 20 days after 6 years with the company. The company provides free eye insurance pretty good dental insurance. The TSP matching through Voya is comparable to other companies and you have the choice of different funds you are able to invest in. The company does provide an annual $3K benefit for education and certification development. The company has received certification from Booz Allen Hamilton and is picked up as a sub on many different contracts. Overall the great attitude of the CEO and COO, the ease by which they communicate and taking care of workers is a major plus.
Svantaggi
The company is newer (about 10 years old) and is still relatively small. Depending on location, pay based can be lower than those with similar experience and education level. If you're looking for a job that pays the bills and not a career or a location with opportunities to move up the ladder this is a great company to work for. As the company is relatively small, upward mobility is a challenge and individuals looking for additional challenges will as contractors they are limited to the guidelines with how the client they support operates. As a sub on a contract, the company is sometimes forced into a position where they must play nice and be on friendly terms with the bigger company. This dynamic can make it challenging for employee concerns to be heard or overlooked. If you're working in a position away from the NCR you will be fending for yourself and interactions with other Primcorp employees are limited. Your local support will be under the auspices of the Project Manager from the bigger contract company. This in itself can be a challenge especially if the bigger contract company expects and wants you to buy into their corporate culture or partake in events and meetings that don't have information that applies to you. While these issues/concerns may sound like gripes, please understand they are things to be aware of. Primcorp is a great company to work for and I was thankful for the opportunites they gave me.
