They are a bit conservative and that can get in the way of feeling comfortable at work. I was told I wouldn’t get the promotion that I was up for because I had to open the warehouse and my supervisor told me “we won’t be giving you the lead position because you are a woman and can be easily overpowered and we don’t want you to openthe warehouse alone” and then they gave the job to a man who had worked there less time than me and was in an entirely different department and I had to train him for the lead position.
