Vantaggi
In the scope of Government Consulting firms in the Washington DC area, PFS is still very much a small business (Well below 500 employees). Even at this small size they have continually been awarded large contracts as a Prime. This speaks to the quality of work they continually provide. I appreciate their very intentional approach in growth, aligning their proposals with contracts that are directly aligned with their mission - supporting federal agencies in their work to support Veterans, Caregivers, and their families. There is a strong, supportive, and diverse culture at PFS. There are opportunities to support projects that align with skillsets and interests. Many of the employees feel strongly connected to the work personally which shines through in their passion and dedication. Their pay and benefits are comparable to other businesses of their size. They make efforts to host hybrid company meetings monthly and do an annual in person company-wide event each year. This is a huge undertaking and financial commitment for the company so I appreciate that they are dedicated to bringing employees together to connect, learn, and be inspired.
Svantaggi
There are a few growing pains as they update processes, career tracks, and support systems to scale, but understand that these efforts take time. There can sometimes be the issue of feeling connected (beyond your immediate team) in a highly remote environment, but this is not unique to PFS as so many organizations are in a remote model these days.
