The MD's at the smaller regional offices lack any backbone. Virtually no autonomy is given to those offices, rather everything must be approved from the main office in the region. The entire focus is on making new sales while ignoring your existing client base. Protiviti takes their existing clients for granted while chasing the next big sale. Delivery of the project suffers as you have management constantly chasing sales while you have junior consultants attempting to execute work programs in which they have no experience.

Pay is below standard (Although I feel you still get paid decently for the area) If you're put on a production project, be ready to feel stuck. Management is very lost on where they want to head into the future. I am worried this company won't last much longer (Former arthur anderson) Can feel clique-y at times amongst peers (but this is not a problem of the company specifically)

Good Culture, decent pay, not overworked too much.

Repetitive, meaningless, and boring work, hard to pivot out of this career once started. Also, the consulting career feels like such a fake job at times. Doesn't feel like real work. Makes you question your life decisions. I'd recommend any college grads to think about their future career goals first before joining. I joined on a whim and wish I spent more time interviewing. It's been incredibly difficult to pivot out of internal audit and sox compliance once you are in it. However, if you are really good at corporate politics and advocating for yourself you may be able to pivot out of the IAFA solution . However, not sure how that lends it self if you want to leave the company.
