Please ask thoughtful questions during the hiring interviews to make sure you get an accurate picture of the work you will be doing. I strongly recommend working at a big four, strategic or other national/international consulting firm rather than Protiviti. The work is much more rewarding and career prospects are so much favorable elsewhere. Please do your homework carefully before joining Protiviti.

1. Protiviti is a temp firm, not a consulting firm. You will be doing staff augmentation work (i.e., back-fill), not learning and providing consulting advice 2. The work is absolutely mind numbing 3. No career prospects outside Protiviti (discuss this with a reputable head hunter before joining Protiviti) 4. The Managing Directors are very bad at business development and making sales 5. Layoffs every year lead to very low morale
