You will eventually realise that the company is a factory of clones. Most Sr. management folks have been hired from one company - Microsoft. This has led to a clan culture within the company. Friends and friends of friends get good roles, career growth opportunities etc. Outside views are outrightly rejected. And this unfortunately is all HR's doing. There has never been a strong HR voice to push some of these unfair hiring practices. Systems, processes and policies are tweaked pretty often to serve interests of people closer to management.
