Mergers are painful and full of uncertainty, people feel unappreciated, people that weren't pulling their weight get exposed and feelings get hurt. It's a hard situation to manage. Turnover is painful we have had a lot and it causes general unsettlement in the ranks. As things settle down I think there is a calm returning. The company merged during the pandemic and the organization is remote which in itself is not a bad thing but it has prevented a true culture to grow. This is a completely new team at almost every level, it's not a large organization so missteps are visible.
