Managers and team leads don't know how to manage. There is no sense that the company wants different teams/areas to work together....they talk about it but it never really happens. There's a lot of finger-pointing when things go wrong and that happens frequently. New parent company (Enersys, 2 years ago) didn't seem to understand the fluctuating industry they were getting into. Once Enersys took over, benefits were cut. When production has no work, they are sent home on work share and ultimately lose out. Expectations are unreasonable. Managers keep asking for more but offer no advice on how to do more work in the same amount of time, or even less. Many deadlines are at best "suggestions" and targets are unreasonable.
