Since Mitch Daniels presidency, the university has invested increasingly more money and other resources in profit-generating partnerships and programs and reduced support in and focus on education, especially for undergraduates. Things that sound great (like 10+ years of frozen tuition) actually resulted in lost jobs, less investment in physical plants to support undergrads and purely academic programs (especially programs outside of Engineering) and falling standards for admission and instructors.
