Being a sales representative at Pythian has a lot of advantages.: - The leadership team is holistically (ie spanning GTM, delivery, everyone in-between) committed to helping the sales team succeed and bring in new business (everyone wins.) - Our technical resources and SMEs (we sell services here, and do partner heavily with our SMEs during presales) are the brightest in the business, spanning 40+ named data/cloud infra technologies (and many more in the overall braintrust). - Autonomy over your own business ie: if you are achieving your goals people will (mostly) give you leeway do what you need to do to continue selling successfully.

Svantaggi

- Private equity backed organization, so it can feel like we are understaffed pretty frequently. This can slow sales cycles and create CSAT issues. Need to be ready to adapt. - The sales reps at Pythian who find success need to be comfortable being agile, we encounter new situations every day and opportunities/problems rarely fit into a box. Also need to be comfortable taking ownership over situations for the betterment of your customers, pipeline, etc. - Very minimal pipeline generation support.

Decent Base Pay Great colleagues Few Customers that are there are great Decent time off 100% remote

micro management they think the google partnership is great, it's not and no leads from google no sales training monthly close cadence calls and you have to sit and listen to everyones no brand presence no leads cold calling number for resale yet not one person has closed a net new resale in 2 years! over prices no us bases delivery so getting finserv or highly regulated deals is very difficult your job is a glorified BDR no one is hitting their numbers yet management will say " I wish I could show you the leader board", and wont but every sales rep you talk to closed 1 deal in a quarter and it was less than $100K Pythian has no secret sauce, everyone does AI/ML but there is nothing different or better here Opp that has a fast timeline don't bother closing because pythian is so under resourced from all the lay offs there won;t be anyone to deliver for at least a month you dont get paid commission until your customer pays so you become collections, Yes, I have actually beed asked to ask my customers to pay.
