- Low employee morale due to recent layoffs and cost-cutting moves. - Company laid off ~15% of employees in 2015. Focus seemed to be on getting rid of the "expensive" employees who had been loyal, committed employees for 8 years or longer. - Cost cutting moves have taken away many of the things that made Qualcomm a great place to work. Gone are the superb health benefits, lunches & Friday morning bagels, beverages in all conference rooms, celebrations/parties for tapeouts, annual holiday parties, etc. - No work/life balance. Expectation in many groups that work will continue from home in the evenings and on weekends. - Questionable hiring/promotion practices that are based upon a person's ethnicity and whether it aligns with senior leadership.
