If you are a new person, no one helps you on your team, they are all too busy with their own jobs and production goals. Be prepared to eat your lunch by yourself. . If you have to miss a day of work your first few months they will start to treat you very badly. I saw this happen to a few people who got sick or had some kind of health related issue early on, they were ostracized. The managers will never let you live it down.
