None. Absolutely nothing awesome about this place.

Svantaggi

This was easily one of the most intense and disheartening work experiences I’ve ever had. While the training was solid, it quickly became clear that the environment thrives on internal competition rather than collaboration. Retention specialists are siloed under individual managers, and you're essentially competing against your peers ALL DAY EVERY DAY. Performance metrics are highly visible and color-coded like a leaderboard, which adds a constant pressure to perform rather than encouraging a team spirit or pride for your work. You meet weekly with your team lead to go over metrics, and even a single negative customer review can significantly impact your standing - regardless of context or nuance. There’s little interest in understanding the "why" behind the numbers, just the numbers themselves. It felt incredibly demoralizing. Beyond that, I was surprised to learn that customer reviews on the website are curated - they flat out exclude 1–3 star reviews, which is deeply dishonest. The products themselves are low quality items from India or China, which are what most of the negative reviews are about. In short, the goods are trash. Perhaps the most troubling aspect is their hiring model. New hires come in “waves,” and during the three-month trial period, you're essentially in a race to outperform the people you were hired with. Those who meet the steep expectations are rewarded with full-time roles. Those who don’t? They're replaced by the next wave. It’s a high-turnover, high-stress system that prioritizes output over people. In the end, I felt the company lacked a real sense of community, support, or integrity. I genuinely hope they reconsider how they treat their employees and the values they lead with moving forward. RUN RUN RUN RUN RUN.

Vantaggi

It's a fast growing brand with lots of VC backing

Svantaggi

The culture at Quince is relentlessly metrics-driven with little regard for the people behind those numbers. Goals and targets are set at near-impossible levels and discussed openly across the team — if you miss, you're put on blast. If you hit, the targets are quietly raised the next month. There is no winning, only surviving. Performance recognition is completely one-sided. Strong results are ignored; any dip — even the day after a major sale event like Black Friday — triggers urgent escalation from leadership. It creates a culture of anxiety rather than motivation. Workload and scope creep are constant. Responsibilities are regularly added to your plate without discussion or acknowledgment. Taking PTO means you're still expected to check in and attend meetings and are made to feel guilty for being unavailable. There is absolutely no work-life balance here! Benefits are minimal. Beyond health insurance and possible equity, there is very little on offer. For a company at this scale and valuation, the overall compensation package does not reflect the workload or expectations placed on employees. Onboarding is nearly nonexistent. You are expected to perform at full capacity almost immediately with minimal ramp time or support, which is difficult in a remote environment. The environment is competitive in an unhealthy way — individual metrics are emphasized over team growth, which breeds distrust rather than collaboration. Last-minute decisions from leadership are the norm, particularly around major promotions and campaigns, consistently forcing late nights and rushed execution. If you thrive under extreme pressure with no safety net, this may work for you. For most people, it is not sustainable.
