It should be no surprise that breaking the silence on sexual is no easy task. You need to have thick skin and empathy which is hard for some to balance. There are many emotional self disclosures when knocking on doors but that is why we are out there fighting the good fight. The work does not stop if it rains, snows, or hails because we are basically super heroes fighting rape (people invite you in). These factors can lead to turn over when folks are newer to canvassing because it is not for everyone.

The clients and the mission are the reasons to work here. It has the potential to be a very powerful agency.

The management ran completely against the mission. Bullying, arrogance, ineptitude were all the norm from the Executive Directors and some program directors.
