- Docked salary for "damages," i.e. company time wasted, company vehicles incurring the likely damage on the streets of New York City. These are unfortunate damages for any company but should be regarded as an expected loss to be foreseen & accounted for, not taken out of the already dismal employee pay. - Members of the cleaning/maintenance dept. have voiced concerns of being denied mobility within the company on grounds of racial discrimination. Again, this may be viewed as an unfortunate and common problem in the hospitality industry, but is worth noting here. - Extremely hostile and toxic employee culture. You are sternly and vehemently reminded of your incompetence and expendability at even the slightest mistake. The turnover at this company speaks for itself. Most people who have any ambition to succeed here do so for a lack of skills or prospects elsewhere.
