Vantaggi
The 401K and benefits packages are decent in the current economy. Depending on the program that you support you might get to work on some pretty cool systems.
Svantaggi
Benefits in general are mediocre. Promotions and pay increases are very hard to come by unless you "in the club" of your respective management. They tout a work/life balance but truly only offer it to their select group of employees, leaving the rest to pickup all the slack. If you are not in the select group and you take your 9/80 day off, expect to hear from your anger about how you are not meeting expectations or being a team player. Though Raytheon touts itself as a Veteran friendly employer, THEY ARE MOST CERTAINLY NOT. They will permit you to establish work social groups based on ethnicity, race or orientation but NOT for your status as a Veteran. They like to have veterans in house so they can boost their demographics for hiring, but their management treats the veterans as if they are damaged goods. Management has the mentality of middle schoolers and if you raise an issue to upper management or even HR, it just gets swept under the rug and you are retaliated against.
