Vantaggi
Unfortunately, It's really hard to say something positive about the company :( - - - Salary above the market - Young product - CTO trying to change something but looks like he hasn't enough experience / responsibility to do it
Svantaggi
The business feels really bad and because of that the company trying to cut any corners as much as possible. As an example: 1. Zero attention to long-term plans which leads to enormous tech. debt. During my work in the company, we did maybe 2-3 tasks. But because "all deadlines are on fire" there is no time for technical improvements 2. Zero attention on tests! Currently, it's about 20 unit tests and no component and e2e tests at all. When the last Q/A left the whole testing process, lad, down on the developer's shoulders. You could imagine how to release the features when you have no tests 3. All solutions have been made just to release some features just. right. now. Because the company is trying to survive it's almost impossible to create something really cool that I'd like to show to different people 4. No content management tools. In general, Rarible provides different customers to create their own marketplaces. All marketplaces live in the code. And when any customer would like to change the text, add new content, or change the button color the developers take care of it. I'd say that I've never wasted my time on so much useless 5. No time for automation. Almost everything you have to do manually. Move tasks in Jira, create releases in Jira, and assign all tasks to the task manager. No integration between code / task manager. When you have to create a release and release it on production, assign all tasks, and so on. It'll take ~20-30 min and it's really annoying 6. Almost useless meetings. No agenda, the meeting lasts 20 - 30 minutes longer than on the calendar and the facilitator does nothing. The teams work by sprints by in general no capacity assessment. Just taking more and more tasks in the sprint even if it's obvious that it's impossible to complete them. 7. May fire you in 1 day but at the same time force you to relocate to Portugal. You feel so unconfident to do it if they will fire you during the relocation period. Just in general it looks like some people just burned out many months ago. My colleague may review my pull request for 3-5 days even if I ping him in DM. Conclusion. I do understand that small startups may have a huge lack of processes. But the most important part is tendency. Unfortunately, I couldn't say that I see any positive tendency in the company. If you are an ambitious developer and want to grow. If you have at least 1 year of experience in your career I'd suggest you stay away from the company
