I worked at Stark Digital Media Services Pvt. Ltd. as a Software Engineer, and this is my honest review as a former employee. When I initially joined the company, I was given good work and some promising opportunities. However, after 2–3 months, the workload increased significantly. I was assigned excessive tasks with unrealistic deadlines that were impossible to meet. The official office timing was 10:00 AM to 7:00 PM, and employees were expected to complete 8 working hours. While I consistently arrived at 10 AM, I never left the office at 7 PM during my 1.5 years of employment. Leaving on time existed only on paper—none of the developers were actually allowed to leave at 7 PM. If someone had an emergency and left the office around 8 PM, management would still question them with comments like “Itni jaldi kaha ja rahe ho?” even though the official work hours ended at 7 PM. There is no appreciation or proper salary hike in this company. Instead, employees are given constant pressure and increasing workloads. Another concern is that the CEO sits beside the development team and personally monitors work. He usually comes out of his cabin after 6 PM, takes updates, and then assigns additional tasks, which further extends the working hours. Additionally, the Project Coordinator lacks both technical knowledge and proper qualifications. He is not capable of coordinating effectively with clients and has no understanding of coding—not even basic concepts. His communication is limited to repeating a few phrases such as: “What is the status?” “What is the update?” “When will it be completed?” “What is the ETA?” Despite having no technical expertise or relevant experience, he holds the position of Project Coordinator. Overall, my experience at this company involved long working hours, high pressure, lack of appreciation, and poor management practices. I would advise candidates to carefully consider these points before joining.
