I’ve been able to make some good money here. I know that hasn’t been everyone’s experience, but I like to think I’m good with people. The hardest thing, I would say, is trying to calm people down when they’ve encountered a scary car problem. One woman called me in a panic one time because her hood was smoking. If you know how to calm people down and reassure them, you can keep your cool and help people make better decisions. Even if it ends up that you can’t help them because their car is just too far gone, you can still help talk to them and make them feel that they’ll be okay. Yes, I’ve had clients yell at me, but it doesn’t happen a lot, and it doesn’t really phase me. I like helping people, and I understand how frustrating it can be when your car is acting up.
