Vantaggi
-Generous remuneration and reward structure for performance in meeting budgets and KPIS -The company operates the most extensive, practical and fit for purpose ERP/CRN system I have ever worked with, This makes a large portion of the workload run smoothly and efficiently, freeing up maximum time to concentrate of sales. -Stability and security that comes with working for a large and well managed company -lunch provided -Pretty good work life balance
Svantaggi
-Micro management from multiple staff within the management structure. As a result it is not clear who you are actually accountable to. -While remuneration can be generous if you are hitting budgets and targets, the remuneration package is structured entirely around the value of your sales patch value with little to no incentive to develop management or leadership capability. As a result supervisors are not incentivised to help develop talent and ability within their team because their success and prosperity is still bound to hitting their own sales KPI's and budgets -Furthermore, bonuses are tied only to hitting budgets which are often a reflection of market forces outside a sale reps control. There is no reward and very little acknowledgement for effort and hard work. -bottle necks in administration that often slow and frustrate the sales process and ultimately the customers. -Much of the intra company communication is done online within the ERP system rather than over the phone or in person. As a result the communication is often interpreted as blunt or even down right rude or aggressive where there is no reason to be as such. This can contribute to a feeling of worthlessness at times. -inflexibility around hours in the office being 9am-5pm. Much of the workload ebbs and flows with demand from the market, such as seasonal requirements peaking at certain times within certain industries. I believe most staff would be more than happy to stay behind and work longer hours if/when required to do so if they also had the trust and respect of management to be able to leave the office early on days when the workload is lighter rather than being tied to an office desk for a set number of hours.
