Mid scale downstream BPSs that work 5 days/week all work over 50hrs/week. If you don't work 1st shift, you will not get good support from other departments necessary to do your job. Management is unresponsive to the need to work excessive overtime to get all your work done. Other groups in the same area will work significantly fewer hours than downstream despite having the same job title. Management loves to make an example of you when you make mistakes, and many mistakes will reflect on your year-end bonus. There has been an increase in the rate of employees leaving their department/the company. If you work downstream in Mid-Scale manufacturing, you will be overworked.
