Vantaggi

benefits are decent- dental is awful, commission is very average not above, especially with the amount of unsatisfied customers. Drivers are usually friendly and easy to work with.

Svantaggi

Terrible Management of operations and sales department and disrespect for employees. The company has a very poor name around many areas. The management level have very little experience outside of the company- resulting in extremely poor leadership, lack of versatility and people skills. The company pricing, especially within Illinois, is not competitive nor does the company have a good name regarding Allied Waste when it comes to the Central Illinois area & into Indiana. Consistent customer complaints leads to many cancellations and thus decrease any type of commission. Companies computer systems are also a bit cumbersome to use.

Vantaggi

The pay is competitive, especially with overtime opportunities, and there is strong potential to earn a solid income for employees willing to work hard. The job also provides steady work and consistent hours, which can be valuable for drivers looking for financial stability.

Svantaggi

The work/life balance for roll-off drivers can be difficult, particularly when working weekends. Drivers are often scheduled in a way that keeps hours under 60 while still requiring Saturday work, rather than being given an additional recovery day during the week. With the level of physical labor involved, one day off is often not enough to properly recover. There is also a heavy emphasis on “swinging” containers. While swings can make sense when locations are far apart, many are scheduled for stops that are very close together and provide little operational benefit. Swings add significantly more physical labor for drivers and, in some cases, can actually take longer than traditional service methods. Over time, consistently working 55–60 hour weeks under these conditions can lead to fatigue and burnout.
