Vantaggi
Great place to start a career in sales with top notch training. The company car is the nicest you’ll ever find in a sales role, use it personally all you want and you don’t pay for any of the gas. Total 9% 401k match is unheard of. Great training that is applicable to almost any industry. Once you put some time in and get your process down you can work 25-30 hours a week and get all your stuff done - this may depend on your manager though.
Svantaggi
Transparency. I left because I felt like the TM’s were being consistently out of the loop on what corporate was doing. A lot of half-truths were being told when word did come out. An example would be announcing a pay increase for TMs but not divulging any details about it until 3 months later. Then we found out it pretty much only benefitted newer TMs while the tenured employees got nothing. The “high-performer” bump was not very motivating either. Also, and completely unmentioned except for in the finest of print, if anyone’s pay bump was an increase of 10% or more, you only got 15% of that raise per quarter until you’re whole. Kind of cheap and underhanded. Getting a “high achieves” rating also nets you about an extra $13 per working day so it’s really not worth pursuing especially since there are no hard metrics you can strive for. Bonus is paid annually and is based on how the entire company does, so your individual contributions don’t have an impact on what you earn. They also don’t give any real updates on where the company is regarding bonus targets throughout the year. Bonus is supposed to motivate salespeople to close more deals but if it’s based on how the whole company does it’s kind of pointless. What’s downright scary is knowing your bonus can get wrecked by a single bad decision made at home office.
