      It’s a very healthy environment with most advisors! Cost of living is low so very doable with a PhD stipend, and work life balance is very normal here - more than other universities. Research is great, people are great, love it here! I’m really happy I chose Rice for my PhD

      Like all grad schools, a bad advisor will ruin your life, so choose wisely (even if you don’t come here please choose wisely in any school). Also the summer weather sucks
