Robert Half corporate is a good place to get experience working with different technologies. IT staff are generally pleasant people to work with and there is a real camaraderie that exists among the teams at the staff level.

The organization pays lip service to valuing employees, but in reality they are a staffing organization and there is an undercurrent of attitude from management of 'if you don't like what's going on we've got 10 people waiting to replace you'. IT management turnover is incredible. IT mid-level managers average about 1 yr before they're forced out or leave because they can't deal with the impossible, no-win situations they're constantly forced into. Don't plan on being able to sustain a long-term career or retire from this organization unless you are Menlo Park leadership or one of the few top-level sales people in the field.

Great in finding contracts for contract workers. They got me a remote job that allowed me to work from my home in the Midwest for a job in California.

Success with other departments - just not in mine

Complete bait and switch. I accepted this position under one manager, only to find out after resigning from my previous job that I would be reporting to someone else entirely. There was no meaningful onboarding, no training materials, and no support system in place. My manager openly stated that there was no monetary value in helping me succeed and made little effort to train or develop me. Requests to shadow and learn the business were dismissed in favor of keeping me on the phones. Instead of being set up for success, I felt actively prevented from growing. HR was equally disappointing. I raised legitimate concerns and never received a response. The organization talks about development and support, but my experience suggested otherwise. Joining this company was one of the biggest professional mistakes I have made.
