- Actions and known information don’t match with internal company updates. Not very ‘straight talking’. - Told that they are doing better than ever but made 17+ redundancies in 2 years, across all areas of the business, lack of job security because of this happening every year. - Most of senior management/leadership has left in the last 12 months, seems strange for a ‘thriving and successful’ business. - Values are just for show and actions speak differently. - Poor planning from management and very ego driven.

We find it disappointing that as a current employee (if this is genuinely the case), you have chosen to share concerns here rather than through the many internal channels available. We’re always open to honest feedback, but it’s important to point out that claims within your review are misleading and factually incorrect. In the last 2 years, we have hired 32 new people and promoted 41 of our colleagues. That’s not the sign of a business in decline; it’s the sign of one that is continuing to invest and grow. Regarding leadership changes, people's careers evolve and we respect their decisions. Our current leadership team is stable, aligned, and committed to Roq’s long-term success. We don’t accept that our values are “just for show.” As just one of many examples, every month through our Roq Stars programme 2 or 3 people are nominated by their peers and recognised for actively living our values. Our values are a consistent part of life at Roq . You’ve also raised vague concerns about planning and “pointless initiatives.” As a current employee, you have open and direct channels to share your views directly; through our monthly anonymous surveys, the open feedback form, our Q&A sessions at company updates, in conversations with your career support manager and even through our 'safe ears' team members. We strongly encourage you to use those routes, because that’s how we can act on feedback and it's the best way for you to help make a difference for you and your colleagues, rather than sharing frustrations here. We’re proud of Roq: of the talented people here, the supportive culture we continue to build, and the opportunities available to those who want to grow. If you are genuinely a current employee and feel your values don’t align with Roq, and you don’t wish to be part of shaping our future, then perhaps you should consider whether this is the right place for you. Joining Roq through the academy programme has helped kickstart my career in tech. I've been here over a year now and it's clear that the company genuinely values continuous learning and development. Which has helped me massively in building my confidence and technical skills. Managers have always been really supportive, especially when moving between different projects and working in fast paced environments. They regularly check in with me, understand the pressures that come with project work, and make sure I have the support and resources I need to complete work while still maintaining a good balance. There are plenty of opportunities to grow and with remote working (which is a plus), they still put a lot of effort into socials (both online and in person) so you truly feel part of the company.

* Friendly and supportive colleagues. *Client Support Managers and team members are generally helpful and pleasant to work with. * Good collaboration at the team level.

* Leadership appears to be heavily focused on delivery and business outcomes, often at the expense of employee wellbeing and work-life balance. * When issues arise, accountability is not always shared appropriately, and responsibility can sometimes be pushed down to individual contributors rather than being addressed at a leadership level. * Job security is a concern. The company has previously undergone significant redundancies after periods of aggressive hiring, and there are signs of a similar pattern occurring again. * It is difficult to understand the rationale behind continued hiring when there appears to be uncertainty around business growth and workforce requirements. This can create anxiety and uncertainty for employees.
