Vantaggi

Coworkers are awesome. One of the highest pay rates in the area

Svantaggi

Number of hours is awful. They are trying to combat this by making the plant all 12 hr shifts, but aren't figuring out how anything will work ahead of time, and making it up as they go. They aren't hiring to fill positions before they switch a line to 12 hrs, so people end up doing 6 12 hr shifts a week. Your 12 hr shifts switch days every 3 months (Mon, Tues, Wed, then Thurs, Fri, Sat), so no one who has kids can really do them - daycare is impossible to find. Anyone higher than lead doesn't care about you. Most of the leads don't either. Huge turnover, even among supervisors. We've had 7? 8? leave in the fairly short time I've been here. Turnover leaves us with leads and operators who have been there just a few months, or sometimes less. We've had temp employees operating. No one is trained sufficiently. Pay tops out at 1 year. Only raises after that are ~$.10 yearly col.

Vantaggi

“One of the most rewarding parts of my role was building my team and continuing to learn. The plant employees consistently supported one another, which made the work meaningful.”

Svantaggi

Corporate leadership made collaboration difficult. Criticism was frequent and often came from individuals without plant-level knowledge. I was told I was “wrong” while actively teaching and supporting them. Corporate leadership operated under different rules than the plants, including separate vacation plans and holidays. Equal treatment was never achieved, and the belittling behavior was unlike anything I had experienced in a professional environment. The culture reflected a clear “do as I say, not as I do” mentality. In my experience, Corporate HR lacked transparency and demonstrated questionable ethical practices. Accountability was inconsistent, which made it difficult to lead effectively and retain strong talent.
