It's great to have that level of candidness, and keeps morale high. There are a lot of great people that work here, and the firm is getting more and more attuned to keeping functions aligned and focused on common goals. With a firm full of high achievers, there can be a tendency to place work-life balance in the rear view mirror. This isn't necessarily something that's forced upon others, but a behavior that can be contagious if not monitored. Bonus calculation policies are a little tougher to come by than desired. In order for someone to strive to be the best, they should be equipped with all that information ahead of time.
