Vantaggi
As corny as it sounds - the colleagues, albeit largely due to the shared sense of misery and level of discontent. The travel benefits generally are good
Svantaggi
Communication and lack of direction from senior management is poor . Leaves too much guessing and a culture of blame or just deniability. Poor succession planning and no effort put into employee development. Pay is below market rate and the sense is that you’re lucky to have a job never mind modest pay increases with experience . Zero flexibility- the workforce has changed dramatically over the last years but Ryanair is being dragged kicking and screaming and putting up resistance and every hurdle for better conditions for its overworked staff . As such morale is low and experienced staff walk regularly. Nothing is being done to retain the experience and ultimately it just increase the workload / job title of someone else who rarely gets compensated for the additional duties . While many people in HQ do fit the Ryanair mentality overall it becomes a frustrating place to work and has turned into a revolving door of new faces who rinse and repeat . Whilst I did at a time enjoy my job I couldn’t recommend it as a place to work . For the money there are much better workplaces who deliver more meaningful engagement, benefits and work like balance .
