Too much politics and infighting. Engineering leadership is incapable of leading teams and driving quality work. Decision is made by a few individuals who were subservient to Chief Product officer leading to nepotism and shoddy product quality. Innovations have become stagnant due in part because of being in a very mature space and compounded by lack of vision from inexperienced senior product and engineering leaders. Engineers spend most time fixing bugs rather than participating in developing innovative products.
