Micromanagement, very uneven workload split across the team, appraisals not led by objective facts. Beside the grievance I submitted myself has not been ruled out after months, never received an outcome.

At SC Johnson, all new people leaders in our corporate/professional career areas experience robust training on what it means to be a manager at our company. Through both online learning and live sessions, managers learn about effectively managing teams through topics such as inclusion and diversity, hiring, performance management processes and more. SC Johnson also has a robust performance management process that includes an annual cycle of setting goals, frequent communications with managers to track progress, performance discussions against individual development plans, mid-year and end-year review against goals and more. Only job-related factors – such as job performance, training, experience or specialized skills that are required to properly perform the job – may be used as a basis for performance reviews.

You will not be bothered by people talking to you, benefits seem okay.

Don’t expect to be trained on anything. Management will expect you to figure things out on your own, request your own accesses and figure out what you need without any guidance. They’ll send people to you for questions on how to do stuff within your first couple days, not having taught you how to do those things.
