The CEO and the unrealistic timelines/expectations he facilitates. Instead of setting a standard of process and turnaround with clients, expect to drop everything to create something half-assed because so-and-so needs it NOW. He puts on a great facade of pretending to care about his employees, and will even go to great lengths to keep (pay) those he finds "valuable", while the real leaders and dedicated workers are far underpaid and not respected. I've seen more CEO-induced panic attacks than any person should have to witness, and especially endure. But mostly, his ego and paranoia are out of control. His narcissism is guaranteed to shine through even in his earliest interactions. His fear of his own dishonest past has caused him to stick his nose into any opportunity of micromanagement possible, terrified that his employees will turn on him at any moment. While properly-managed work can be very rewarding, it's not enough to prevent the rapid - and chronic - employee turnover rate.
