Increasingly toxic environment with some very poor management who spoil it for everyone. Opportunities to advance are limited, as is recognition, even though the management talk a good talk, and people are so busy protecting their own jobs they don’t look out for others. Rules changed without discussion and management don’t respect the fact that most people worked from home really successfully previously and now insist everyone (apart from a few specially chosen) come into horrible portacabin offices 3 days a week for optics and to punish the few who took advantage. People are happier to come in if they feel it’s because they’re valued, but the organisation can’t see this and instead use heavy handed tactics despite their website saying they are the most flexible construction company!
