SOCi really used to be a great place. In my role I used to interact often with members of the C-Suite, including the CEO. Afif is a smart man and as strategic-minded as they come. When the company was half the size it is now, the culture was strong, and an infectious enthusiasm just seemed to permeate throughout the organization. It felt like we all were in the battle conquer the market, with Afif leading the charge. And my word did I love supporting him and the leaders underneath him.

As the company grew, some newcomers in mid to upper-level leadership began to flex their personal agendas in ways that eroded what was great about SOCi initially. What started out as a collaborative, results focused approach suddenly turned into a nightmare of micromanagement and unrealistic expectations from “leaders” who wanted to set their own course and justify their existence. They weren’t part of that high output growth that is no longer occurring, so they are now apparently trying to add value in ways to pat themselves on their backs regardless. Would I work for SOCi again if offered? That’s a question I’ve struggled with. I would follow Afif and his executive team to the end of the earth and back if asked. Hell I'd carry their bags on the trip. But under no circumstances would I ever again work for the middle management team that was hired above me. Their agendas betrayed what was great about SOCi when I started. Simply devastating.

It’s important to us that SOCialites feel a sense of camaraderie and eagerness to conquer the industry. With Afif leading the charge, there is that strong enthusiasm and spirit that contributes to our company culture. The same can be said about the rest of the C-Suite and leadership at SOCi! We’re sad to hear that you do not feel the same regarding middle management, and how you felt during your time here. As a rapidly growing company within a fast-paced industry, we aim to bring in key hires to aid and sustain that growth. With that may come changes to strategy or some of the work we do, all for the shared goal of driving success. However, that doesn’t mean we will stop wanting to hear from employees like yourself about these elements - we continue to solicit this feedback through our twice-annual engagement survey, our employee focus groups that our Chief People Officer leads, and through our HR Business Partner team. As for our responses to reviews, we can assure you each review is read and responses are handwritten in order to address employee concerns in the review. This role is fast paced and blends technical configurations with client communications, so no two workdays are exactly alike. Great role for developing versatile skills in building customer relationships, project management, and technical problem solving. This position is less technical than I imagine this role would be at other places- it's more so providing a white glove onboarding experience for customers and customizing the platform based on their use case. Fun to work with a diverse range of customers and lots of autonomy working on projects. Innovative company to be at in the age of AI

Tight deadlines to get customers set up on time, but you are at the mercy of the clients readiness. If they don't have things organized on their side, it can cause significant delays. New products and features are also rolled out so quickly that we often don't have time to learn how to implement them before we're expected to set things up. New AI products are being rolled out while old AI agents aren't working properly and no one seems to know how they work internally and the quantity of agentic upsells is way too much for the team to handle, especially when every set up requires extensive trouble-shooting
