Vantaggi
Intelligent, experienced, and motivated consultants make for great co-workers, even when mostly at separate clients - discussions at branch events, or daily on Slack, tend to be high-quality and helpful. Pay is great relative to the market, and in most cases, consultants end up at interesting client projects. Management is focusing on emerging technologies, especially cloud (Azure) that has led to enjoyable engagements. Given relatively small size, employees receive fairly regular updates on the full state of the company, including business direction/benefits/clients. This has been especially useful as the relationship with the Minneapolis branch has become closer. Consulting manager model allows senior consultants to act as mentor/advocates for multiple consultants, allowing for feedback/advice on career development at whatever interval you prefer. The leadership team in general is very approachable.
Svantaggi
No bench pay (only paid for billable hours), and there have at times been pipeline issues, meaning consultants sometimes leave during stretches when they haven't received work for a few weeks. Those pipeline issues have been a focus for management, though, and do seemed to have improved (plus, most people end up on longer contracts, for a year+, and don't really need to worry about any bench time). Not fantastic benefits (but great salary does help make up for that)
