Took advantage of me as a 16 year old - Recensione dipendente - Courtesy Clerk presso Safeway

This was my first job which I took over the summer as a high schooler, and I was totally taken advantage of. They worked me the maximum number of hours you could as a minor, 7 hours a day 5 days a week past sunset, just below what could be considered part-time. I was told it was normal that I couldn't choose my hours and I went along with it because I didn't know any better. Management was all about chastising without offering solutions, My location recently had a class-action lawsuit because they weren't compensating employees for overtime. On DAY ONE I was asked to work overtime until closing. Would not recommend unless you can really stand up for yourself, because you're gonna have to.
